BTW, for that Math v. Dose battle, I think Math has to be real careful with how he approaches it. I sorta think the battle is going to start out with the crowd on Dose’s side since Math sorta went the bully route last go around…Math is going to have to figure out how to get the crowd back on his side. It can obviously be done, but I think don’t think it’s going to be easy and I think he’s going to have to play it just right.

I’ll be honest, if this was the best battle of the Revelations card, this card was very average. I heard a crap ton of bar flips, way too many recycled schemes, and redundant angles. Some bars were hot and some were very average, yet amped up by either a biased or dumbed down crowd. I’m not hating, people like what they like. However, if this is what we’d like to consider a good or “classic” battle, then the battle rap game is fading.

Before the hate becomes OD on my post, I’m a huge fan of the sport. But battle rap is beginning to mirror industry hip-hop. The heart in it isn’t as consistent, there’s little to no originality, and everybody keeps following the popular trends.

I’m a fan of the URL and everything they’ve done for the culture, but this is getting extremely monotonous for me. It’s like people are deciding to be battle rappers these days because it’s cool and nobody strives to be remembered anymore. Even the bulk of the “legends” are overrated.
